Graduate Assistant Interviews

Interviews for the 2010 Texas State student affairs master's cohort will take place February 22-24.  

 

Tentative Schedule

 

Day 1 – Monday, February 22, 2010 – Casual Attire

         Arrive in San Marcos
 
Day 2 – Tuesday, February 23, 2010 – Professional Attire
 
        8 a.m. – 9 a.m. - Registration , LBJ Student Center Lily’s Lounge, 4th floor
        9 a.m. – 10 a.m. Campus Tour
        10 a.m. – 12 p.m. Open house  - visit all interviewing departments
        12 p.m. – 1p.m.  Lunch – LBJ Student Center  room 3-6.1
        1 p.m. – 5 p.m.  Interviews
        5:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.  Welcome Dinner – Questions and Answers  - LBJ Student     Center room 3-15.1
        Time TBA Graduate Student Affairs Council (GSAC) Social – Square/Coffee Pot
 
Day 3 – Wednesday, February 24, 2010 – Professional Attire
 
        8 a.m. Arrival at LBJ Student Center room 3-8.1 – Breakfast
        8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.  Interviews
        Lunch will be served around noon – Come and go lunch in 3-8.1
 
As soon as you're done interviewing, please fill out the candidates evaluate form and rank your choices for GRA positions.

To register, please download and complete the documents below.  You will find information about where to send your complete application.  Please indicate whether you will stay with a friend or one of the current program students.  If you would like to stay in a hotel, please contact the San Marcos Chamber of Commerce for information.  If you are flying into the Austin or San Antonio airport, we would be happy to make arrangements to pick you up from the airport. 

Keep in mind that unlike other institutions, we do not charge a fee to attend graduate assistant interviews.  You will be responsible for expenses during your stay in San Marcos with the exception of the following:

Lunch - provided Tuesday & Wednesday

Dinner - provided Tuesday

Breakfast - provided Wednesday
